Field Trips to the Goodman Youth Farm
We would love to have your classroom or community group visit the Youth Farm. Our field trips help students learn about sustainable agriculture through hands-on experience. From planting seeds to cooking with the produce they harvest, students are involved in every step of the farming process. Field trips help students connect classroom topics to lived experiences on the farm, and we strive to make connections to relevant curriculum wherever possible. If you are curious to know what other teachers have said about their visit to the Youth Farm, be sure to check out our teacher reactions page!
Types of Groups: We welcome groups of any age and ability level. Groups come from Madison-areas schools, community centers, after school programs, summer camps, daycare centers, college prep programs, and more. Some groups visit the farm on a single occasion, and others make multiple trips. We will do our best to accommodate all student needs within the capacity of our outdoor landscape. If you are interested in visiting the Youth Farm as an individual or family, check out our Family Field Trips page!
